Why House of Axénte?

In the middle of routines and pressure, I needed a space where I could feel again. Not just think or perform — but really feel. That space became dance. And that dance became House of Axénte.

This didn’t begin with a business plan. It began with something I missed in the dance scene: real stories, real people, and a real sense of belonging. I didn’t see beginners being celebrated. I didn’t see the soul behind the movement.

So, I built it.

What I Was Missing

I wanted a space where you don’t need to prove anything — not status, not skill. Just be present. That’s what I felt in Diego’s classes: freedom, respect, and growth for all levels.

But there was no digital home for that energy. No place to document the stories, the groove, the feeling. That’s where House of Axénte stepped in — first on Instagram, now expanding as a full platform and creative movement.

What Groove Means to Me

“Groove as a lifestyle” isn’t just a phrase — it’s how I reconnect. With work, school, family, and stress, I forgot how to breathe. Dance reminded me.

When we move together, something sacred happens. We release. We remember who we are. And we grow — not alone, but together.

What I Create

  • Freestyle clips during class

  • Interviews with dancers

  • Real moments in and out of the studio

My goal?

That anyone watching feels invited — like they belong here.

Behind the Scenes

Each post starts with a plan: a quote, a vibe, or a story. I edit in Adobe Premiere Pro, design with Adobe tools, and shoot using my own gear — camera, mic, tripod, gimbal.

Every week I drop a mix of light content (like quotes) and deeper pieces (like interviews or history posts). I also promote the Tuesday classes with visuals that match the feeling of the floor.

What I’ve Learned

As a maker, I still struggle with doubt. But I’ve learned to trust the process. I’m growing in storytelling, video technique, and creative confidence — and I’m proud that this is my own production.

This is not just a school assignment. It’s my mission. A movement I want to grow — with Diego, with dancers, with anyone who feels called. How to Join or Support
